Rochester Young Professionals is a group that coordinates, collaborates, and promotes events around Rochester that are either, social, volunteer, or informational. Our board connects young Rochester with activities that will help to improve the careers, the social life, and the character of our members.
With 4500+ members, Rochester Young Professionals is the largest of the young professional groups in Rochester, NY. We would love for you to be part of our group and to help grow the young professional community of Rochester.

OUR MISSION

A greater emphasis on community development. We will try to connect our members in ways that will introduce them to places they have never visited before in the Rochester region.

Collaborate and reach out to the students of Rochester. Too often college students in Rochester are not aware of RYP and the fact that after they graduate there is a group here to help them acclimate to Rochester and the business world.

Utilize social networking and the media to get the word out. RYP will not only try to advertise itself but will also use its power to promote other events around the area that would appeal to anyone in our demographic.

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
Connecting our members with ways to further their career is an important part of Rochester Young Professionals. With this RYP is committed to providing YP's with myriad opportunities to learn from Rochester’s most successful leaders. Our goal is to ensure attendees learn the skills necessary to become the best and brightest leaders of tomorrow. Professional Development events will generally be scheduled on Tuesday's of each month at various locations throughout the city. Be sure to visit our calendar to see when the next event is hosted, each time you will be sure to learn, network, and have your questions answered!
VOLUNTEERING
Volunteering gives you an opportunity to change lives, including your own! Rochester Young Professionals is committed to giving back to our community through a variety of volunteering activities. Our goal is to provide our members with fun ways to help local non-profits. RYP collaborates with organizations to promote opportunities that make a difference through a number of partners like: American Cancer Society, Salvation Army, Habitat for Humanity, Red Cross, Adopt a Highway, Al Sigl Center, Camp Good Days, Special Olympics, Park and Community clean up efforts, The Landmark Society, Golisano Children's Hospital, Foodlink and many more. COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
Rochester Young Professionals is deeply committed to giving back to our community and shows its commitment to Rochester and its local organizations by educating young professional's on the many different offerings presented within our city. Community Development is the practice of conducting local public awareness activities through targeted community interaction. We collaborate often with not for profit organizations on a wide variety of events with the goal of helping to place the young people of Rochester on the boards of these groups. We hope to make members of our group active and contributing representatives of the community so we can help to mold our city for the future. SOCIAL EVENTS
Discovering all Rochester has to offer is an integral part of the Rochester Young Professionals. In keeping with this, RYP hosts social events at venues throughout the city in an effort to promote cultural, entertainment, and lifestyle opportunities available here. The events showcase our city while providing a positive environment for networking, socializing, and developing meaningful friendships in a way that is laid-back and open. OUTDOOR AND RECREATION
Outdoors and Recreation plans events that explore all aspects of Mother Nature. Our events aim to expose young professionals to a variety of activities such as hiking, kayaking, biking, rock climbing and sailing. Our goal is to provide events that cater to all skill levels, and provide opportunities for young professionals to network in an environment that is peaceful, healthy and full of positive energy.
