Current Job: Business Development Associate at Innovative Solutions Hometown: Webster, NY Favorite Rochester Gem: Friday night dinner at Dorado’s off of Park Ave Bio: I’ve lived in Rochester all my life, and I don’t ever plan on moving away. I’m a McQuaid Jesuit grad and have a bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems from RIT. Currently, I am a member of the sales team at Innovative Solutions, a local IT company in Rochester. I’ve grown up in a business-minded family and have been around business and technology my whole life. I am passionate about connecting with people, building lasting relationships, and offering value to the lives of others. I have a small family, and we’re all very close – my parents live in Florida, a brother and nephew that lives in Webster, and my dog, Addy. If I am not at work, I’m always with Addy taking her to the fields, parks, or the lake. I also love doing work outside of my house (for fun, not because it’s needed) and serving four amazing non-profit organizations. My favorite motto is, “Dream Big, Live Bold”.

Justin Howard Social Chair

Current Job: Engineer Hometown: Plano, TX Favorite Rochester Gem: Swan Market Bio: Born and raised in Plano, I graduated with an Aerospace Engineering  degree from the University of Texas in 2014, and then immediately fled north to escape the Texas summer heat. After a short stint in Kansas City, I landed in Rochester in 2015, put down roots, and never looked back. I love living in a city that’s big enough that I'm never bored, but small enough that I can have a voice in community decisions and actively help shape the city's future. I intend to be here for as long as y’all will have me. When I’m not busy engineering trains, I enjoy playing kickball, drinking outside, and being very bad at golf.

Patrick King Web Designer / Technology Chair

Current Job: Web and Graphic Designer at CGI Communications Hometown: New Braunfels, TX Favorite Rochester Gem: Boulder Coffee Bio: I am originally from central Texas (y'all), and since moving here in the fall of 2017 I have quickly come to discover how special of a city Rochester is. The thriving arts scene is incredibly inspiring, especially as an artist and designer, and I look forward to exploring and discovering more of what Rochester and the surrounding area has to offer.

Elise Miklich VP of Marketing

I'm a 2x Nazareth College alum (Communications '13 and Marketing '16G) who found her way back as the Social Media Coordinator for the College. Rochester has always been on my radar as a city with something special going on. As a member of a rock band in college, we would often book shows at the Bug Jar on Monroe Ave. I fell in love with the different personalities that encompassed different sections of the city and all of the creative people that lived there. When I'm not working on campus or working to grow RYP's presence, you can find me gym hopping, enjoying a cup of coffee or seeing live music around the city.

Bio: Growing up in Northern New Jersey, I was raised in the hustle and bustle of New York City and never loved it. Moving to Rochester, thanks to the influence of my sister, allowed my husband and I the opportunity to reap the benefits of city living while still enjoying a gateway to the outdoors thanks to the finger lakes region, Lake Ontario, and the not too far away Adirondack mountains. I’ve loved being able to settle in and start creating roots in an amazing area of the country while working as a Chiropractic Assistant in Brighton. When not working, I can usually be found outside running, biking, Stand Up Paddleboarding, or snowboarding (in the winter). I also work part-time for LL Bean’s Outdoor Discovery School teaching kayaking and Stand Up Paddleboard classes on beautiful Canandaigua Lake all summer long.
