Volunteer with Hillside at the 2012 Wegmans LPGA Tournament - Hillside is looking for volunteers to act as guest relations associates and parking marshalls during the week of June 4th-10th at the 2012 Wegmans LPGA Tournament! We are looking for 130 pairs of volunteers, so grab a co-worker, spouse, friend or family member and help out. Shifts are 5 hours in length and you get a ticket to the tournament for the day you are volunteering plus $5 dimple cash for concessions. The Rochester-Monroe County Youth Bureau is seeking volunteers for its Youth As Resources program. Youth as Resources (YAR) is a youth philanthropy and youth voice program which provides grants of up to $1,000 to young people to design and implement service-learning projects which meet real community needs. YAR is governed by local youth and adults responsible for all of the decisions that accompany the grant making process. Adults on the board guide youths as they conduct interviews, review proposals, and make important funding decisions. Judicial Process Commission (JPC) is seeking a Website and Social Media Board Member. JPC has a Board opening for someone who will be responsible for its website and social media (Facebook, Twitter, etc.). JPC’s website at www.rocjpc.org/ needs to be re-designed, updated, and maintained. Currently, JPC does not use social media and needs someone to show them the way. Help a Monroe Community College student through the MCC Career Connection, a new program starting at MCC. Share your career expertise through informational interviewing or job shadowing opportunities with an MCC student to help them gain valuable knowledge about a career field in which they are interested. The Genesee Waterways Center (GWC) Board is seeking young professionals to serve on the Board and/or on Board committees. Founded in 1996, GWC is the premier not-for-profit organization promoting rowing, paddling, and related outdoor activities in the Rochester Region. We offer top-notch instructors and growing facilities, rental equipment for canoeing and kayaking, and more for visitors to make the most of their outdoor experience. We operate both the GWC Boathouse in the city and Lock 32 Whitewater Park in Pittsford. We have particular needs now for people with skills in fundraising, marketing, legal, accounting and financial reporting, and operations management.
