Due to lack of snow, our snowshoe event was cancelled. But Mother Nature still has so much beauty to offer, so I would still like to get outside!
A lot of local hiking trails are muddy and very slippery, so I chose a safer walk.
I thought I would share o
ne of my favorite places down by the water, Durand Eastman Park.
The hike starts out on a paved walkway, goes down to the beach where we will walk for about 1/2 mile turn around and make our way back to the trail head (3 miles total). This is a casual, relaxing, peaceful walk
Where to Park: Trail Head is on the right side of the road, where Durand Blvd crosses over Culver and becomes Sweet Fern Road

Length of Walk: approx 3 miles round trip
Difficulty Level: 2 boots (mostly level surface and no strenuous climbing)
What to Bring:
Water Bottle/Snack
Camera
Appropriate Clothing, dress in layers, it gets chilly!
If you have any questions, please let me know.
I will do a last check of Facebook posts early this morning.
Happy Hiking!
