RYP Outdoors: March of Dimes Walk
Ontario Beach Park - Intersection of Lake Ave and Beach Ave Rochester, NY 14612
What if you could spend the morning getting fresh air by the lake, exercise and feel good about helping others at the same time?
We are going to be joining the March of Dimes walk on May 20th. I chose this cause because a local Rochester Young Professional, and a dear friend of mine, Jessica Bigwarfe, was helped by this organization and wants to help spread awareness.
You do NOT have to fundraise to participate in this event. Our goal is to spread awareness and have a great time being outside with our friends.
Our family was blessed with a miracle when our son Boston was born prematurely six and a half weeks early. During that scary and uncertain time the March of Dimes helped to provide care to Boston. He spent 7 weeks in the NICU, but now is a thriving, healthy, happy child!
March of Dimes is an organization that helps preemies. They research ways to help little babies, like ours. They offer guidance and support when parents need it the most.
I can’t express all the ways in which the March of Dimes helped, but every time I saw their logo it was a reminder that they were there supporting us. By giving back to the March of Dimes you are helping to return the favor they gave us
10 AM 3 mile walk begins
