Help RYP volunteer with Compeer Rochester at their annual cookout! The cook out is August 15^th, 5:00PM – 7:00PM, at Ontario Beach Park in the Beachfront Shelter. This cook out is for all of our clients, their volunteers, and their families. We usually have over 100 people. We need the volunteers to serve food to our guests and play games with them. From 7:00PM – 8:00PM we will need help cleaning up.

Compeer Rochester finds people from the community to create supportive friendships for youth, adults, and Veterans living with mental illness. We also provide peer family support to those who are struggling to meet some of their basic needs. Our goals are to decrease the stigma of mental illness and the loneliness, isolation, and shame of people who are living with it. Through the power of supportive friendships, Compeer serves as a bridge to enhanced wellness and community integration for those with social and emotional barriers.
